Gon Freecss adalah karakter fiksi dari manga Hunter x Hunter karya Yoshihiko Togashi

Latar Belakang

Sejak kecil, Gon dirawat oleh Bibi Mito, adik dari almarhumah ibunya. Selama itu, ia sering bermain di hutan bersama binatang-binatang. Instingnya sangat kuat, penciuman tajam, penglihatan yang bagus, semua itu merupakan modal Gon dalam mengikuti ujian Hunter nantinya. Ia mempunyai bakat yang luar biasa. Selama ini, Bibi Mito selalu menyembunyikan perihal ayah Gon. Pada akhirnya Gon mengetahui sendiri soal ayahnya dari Kaito, seorang hunter yang merupakan murid Ging, ayahnya. Ia pun memutuskan mengikuti ujian Hunter. dia adalah seorang yang sangat berani.sehinga dia ditakuti banyak orang

Sangat polos dan baik hati. Ia bahkan tidak segan-segan mengorbankan nyawa menolong orang lain. Sahabat yang paling dekat dengannya adalah Killua, Kurapika, dan Leorio. Ia mengembara bersama Killua sekarang untuk mencari ayahnya. Orangnya sangat jujur dan hangat, membuat orang lain senang bersamanya seperti Killua misalnya. Ia berkata bahwa ia bersyukur bisa bertemu Killua, tetapi sebenarnya Killua-lah yang berpikir demikian. Kurapika juga bersyukur bisa bertemu Gon. Gon juga merupakan orang yang keras kepala bahkan kadang-kadang tidak berkepala dingin. Maka untunglah Killua bersamanya, karena Killua bisa menenangkan dan berpikir dingin.

Kemampuan Nen

Tipe Nen Gon adalah Kyouka (Reinforcement). Di Greed Island, ia menemuka jurus baru yaitu Jajanken (Gunting-Batu-Kertas).

• Yang pertama adalah Batu atau Guu. Gon memusatkan auranya menggunakan Kou di tangan dan melepasnya sebagai pukulan. Digunakan sebagai serangan jarak dekat.
• Kedua adalah Kertas atau Paa. Gon menggunakan Emission untuk menggerakan Nen ke musuhnya. Digunakan untuk menyerang organ dalam musuh.
• Ketiga Gunting atau Chii. Digunakan untuk menyerang salah satu bagian tubuh menggunakan dua jari. Tidak terlalu kuat dibandingkan dengan Batu/Guu
